The facility
Let the AVES hotel be your mountain base for unforgettable moments indoors and out. In its Explorer Area there’s simply everything – as it should be today! Climbing wall, drinks at the bar, wellness and spa, top-class restaurant, social media wall, 24/7 self-check-in, and super-fast Wi-Fi. The rooms offer free Chromecast TV. The Share restaurant will pamper your taste buds with creations using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the region.
And outside? The fantastic mountain world all around Arosa, perched up at an altitude of 1775 meters, awaits adventurers and explorers. In winter, one of the largest snow sports areas in the Grisons offers 225 kms of ski runs and in summer there are over 200 kms of hiking paths and attractive bike trails. The upper and lower lakes are just a stone’s throw from the hotel. The other mountain lakes - Iselsee, Älplisee and Schwellisee – invite you to launch out on excursions in the surrounding countryside. But this is far from all. Discover all the Outdoor-Kicks in the vicinity of your home base!
The hotel building offers Lifestyle and Friends & Family Rooms, as well as apartments with lake and mountain views. Tip #1: The Arosa Legends Trail
Arosa is full of fascinating tales like the legend of the «Enchanted Castle», or the «Clock Ghost of Fondei». If you like getting a scary shiver down your spine, find the map with all the locations to experience these legends up close. The path leads you through the enchanting Arosa mountain world. And once you’ve discovered all ten tales, there’s the book of the tour – to read and tell the story again.
Tip #2: The little Arosa mountain church
For more than 500 years the pretty little mountain church has characterized Arosa’s village-scape. It even had an influence on its name. Listen to the guide telling you about the impressive building’s eventful history – it is also used as a beautiful concert hall. A special cultural experience for families, couples and groups.
Tip #3: Sunrise on the pistes
What could be more wonderful than being among the first to ski in freshly prepared snow? It takes a little effort to get up and adventure out at crack of dawn in the winter cold. But behaving anti-cyclically to the late-sleepers is worth it every time! At 6h30 already the Proschieri ski lift and the Stätzertäli chairlift whisks you up to the mountain top at Lenzerheide!

Durchwegs gut organisiertes Hotel. Schnörkellose Zimmerausstattung mit allem Nötigen. Badezimmer hat wenig Abstellfläche, dafür jede Menge Haken. Im Sinne der Umwelt keinen ständigen Badwäschewechsel und unnötige Zwischenreinigung: TOP!!

Man fühlt sich bereits in der Lobby sehr wohl.

Hotel und Zimmer sind in Ordnung. Der ganze digitale Buchungsprozess aber eine Katastrophe. Die Web App ist völlig unsorgfältig entwickelt worden und hat unzählige z. T. elementare Fehler, was darauf schliessen lässt, dass auf eine Qualitätskontrolle entweder komplett verzichtet wurde oder sie schlampig ausgeführt wurde. Wenigstens hat es noch eine Art Rezeption vor Ort. Nicht unbedingt hilfreich ist es dann aber, wenn ich der anwesenden Mitarbeiterin von den vielen Fehlern berichte und sie mir erklärt, dass alles bestens funktioniert, d.h. das ich zu blöd bin den digitalen Prozess zu nutzen, was eindeutig nicht der Fall ist. Ich habe fast 40 Jahre als Systemprogrammierer gearbeitet und kann gute Applikationen von schlechten unterscheiden, wobei es sich hier nicht um eine schlechte sondern um eine katastrophale Applikation handelt. Ich würde das Hotel erst wieder in Betracht ziehen, wenn man wieder auf einen traditionellen Prozess für Buchung, Check-in etc. zurückgreift. Freundliche Grüsse Martin S.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren zur Arosa Classic Car da und das Hotel ist bestens gelegen – direkt an der Piste und am Fahrerlager. Alles verlief unkompliziert, die Atmosphäre war angenehm, und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Sehr schönes, modernes Hotel. Perfekte, zentrale Lage. Personal und Service sehr gut Nur 4 Punkte weil : Die Dusche ist eine Fehlkonstruktion :-) Die Tür geht nach innen auf. Es bleiben gerade mal ca 20 cm um in die Dusche reinzukommen. Wenn man schlank ist gehts. Mit einem Bierbauch wird man aufs duschen verzichten müssen..... Gruss an den Architekten Hatte nur Frühstück

Arosa – close to heaven
Right at the top of the romantic Schanfigg valley, at an altitude of 1800 meters, nestles the traditional Grisons holiday resort of Arosa. Its guests love the impressive world of summits – a natural paradise for mountain sports and activities.
Due to its location in the open valley, Arosa is extremely sunny and sheltered from strong winds. The air is especially pure as there is no transit traffic. Bikers will also love the many trails, the bike park and skills centre as well as bike schools and biking events in the Grisons MTB Mecca.
There are just the right adventures for all the family: a visit to the fire brigade, feeding the squirrels or finding the right balance at the rope park! Children from 4 years-old will have a really cool programme with the Arosa bear team, and the little mascots «Jöri» or «Beni». Arosa is one of the Swiss holiday resorts which has been awarded the «Families Welcome» seal of approval.
